P90X Phase One Diet - Portion Approach Play by Play

While I've written before about how to use the portion approach version of the P90X nutrition plan I thought it might be helpful to give some concrete examples of the meals that I have put together. For reference I am a level 2. If you are a level 1 or a level 3 the number of servings for each category (dairy, vegetables, protein, etc.) will be different. Here's a sample of what I might eat on a given phase one day...

Chocolate Protein

Breakfast:
2/3 cup plain instant oatmeal;
1 scoop EAS chocolate whey protein powder;
1 cup sliced strawberries;
1/2 cup blueberries;
1 Morning Star Garden Veggie patty;
coffee, water

Chocolate Protein

Morning Snack:
1 balance or zone perfect bar, any flavor

Post workout drink:
1/8 scoop EAS chocolate protein powder;
1 cup light cranberry juice

Lunch:
1 can water packed tuna;
2 cups baby spinach;
1 cup chopped tomatoes and mushrooms;
1 tbsp (aprox.) oil & vinegar dressing;
3/4 egg whites;
1.5 oz part-skim mozzarella cheese;
water or seltzer

Afternoon Snack:
3-1 oz. low fat string cheese sticks OR 1 oz. almonds

Dinner:
6 oz. boneless, skinless chicken breast or salmon fillet;
2 cups baby spinach,
1 cup chopped celery and baby carrots;
1 tbsp (aprox.) oil & vinegar dressing;
2 cups skim milk;
one scoop EAS chocolate whey protein powder

This covers the number of servings required for a level two calorie intake during phase one of P90X. The nutrition guide gives you the formulas to figure out what your calorie intake level should be. The servings of each food category in this sample menu breaks down to 7 protein, 4 vegetable, 3 dairy, one carbohydrate, 1 fruit, 1 fat, 1 bar, 1 double snack and a post workout "recovery" drink.

I hope this example is helpful in giving you an idea of how to put together meals using the portion approach. It's all about choosing foods from the list that you like and putting them together in the right amounts to meet the servings requirements each day. It takes some thought and planning up front but, once you get going it's a piece of... well you know what I mean.

Fat, Carbohydrates and Protein Explained

Cardiff personal trainer, explains the difference between different micronutrients and the effect they have on the body. As a personal trainer in Cardiff (a big city), it never surprises me to see how many clients are confused with food.

Chocolate Protein

Many people regard fat as being bad for you. Fat is a vital energy nutrient that you body needs. In terms or weight management you must be very intelligent in the type of fat that you consume. There are three types of fat.

Chocolate Protein

1) Saturated Fat (Bad Fat) - found in crisps, chocolate, cakes, meat fat, egg yolk, dairy products, palm oil, coconut oil. High amounts in takeaways such as Kebab, Chinese, Indian and Burger outlets.

Examples of saturated fat

Unsaturated Fat (Good Fat)

2) Monounsaturated Fat - found in Almond oil, Olive Oil, Rapeseed Oil, Avocado, seeds and Nuts
3) Polyunsaturated Fat - found in Vegetable oils, Fish oils, Sardines, Mackerel

Examples of Unsaturated Fats

Reducing saturated fat intake and getting healthy fat that the body can comfortably break down such as Mackerel, Sardines and Olive Oil is the key to success. So that means, cutting out take-aways and fast food which are horrifyingly high in saturated fat and calories (see below for examples) and reducing the intake of high fatty snacks such as crisps, chocolate and cakes.

Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are required by the body because they are the nutrient which can be most efficiently broken down to produce energy. It is the bodies preferred energy source. We consume a variety of carbohydrates within our diet which can be classified into different categories due to their chemical structure. There are three types of carbohydrate.

1) Glucose (Simple Sugar) - A single molecule of carbohydrate so quickly absorbed into the blood stream
2) Sucrose (Simple Sugar) - Two molecules of carbohydrate bound together, slightly delayed absorption into the blood stream.

Examples of simple carbohydrates

3) Polysaccharides (Complex Carbohydrate) - Many molecules of carbohydrate bound together, slowly absorbed into the blood stream

Examples of Complex Carbohydrates

Around 50 - 60% of total energy intake should come from carbohydrate sources, the majority of these should be complex carbohydrates. This is because they will leave you feeling fuller for long periods. Porridge is the perfect breakfast due to its slow release of energy throughout the day.

Simple carbohydrates have their place and are ideal for quick bursts of energy. They are often used at half time by sports teams to replenish glycogen stores.

Protein

Correct and adequate protein intake is crucial for anyone involved in vigorous Training. Protein is essential for the growth and repair of skin, hair, nails, bones, tendons, ligaments and muscles. It also serves a crucial role in enzyme production and maintaining a strict acid-base balance. The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for the average male and female adult is just 0.83 grams per kilogram (2.2lbs) of bodyweight. In a 70kg (154lb) individual this equates to just 58 grams of protein per day or about two chicken breasts worth.

Some research shows that competitive athletes, particularly those involved in heavy weight training, may require more protein. The recommendation for strength and endurance athletes ranges from 1.2 to a maximum of 2.0 grams per kilogram.

Research has shown that consuming more protein than this serves no benefit and may be harmful in the long term. Good sources of protein include low fat milk, poultry, fish, lean red meat, eggs, nuts, beans and lentils and soy products. Fatty meats like pork and fast food hamburgers as well as most cheeses contain a lot of saturated fats so are not as suitable sources of protein. Recently, the emergence of high protein, low carbohydrate diets have become popular in the weight loss industry.

Fat, Carbohydrates and Protein Explained

Foods That Should Not Be Eaten Together

First, eggs and soybean milk
People often eat eggs with soybean milk at the same time, thinking that both of the foods are rich in protein. In fact, these two kinds of foods should not be eaten together, because soybean milk contains trypsin inhibitor, which can control the combination of protease in human body, so that the decomposition of protein will be blocked. As a result, the absorption of protein by the human body will be affected.

Chocolate Protein

Second, radish and orange
The experiment found out that radish is a kind of cruciferous vegetable. If it is eaten with a large number of oranges at the same time, it is very likely to induce or cause goiter. As a result, it is inappropriate to eat these two kinds of foods together, especially in the goiter epidemic areas, or for those who are suffering from goiter, they should pay special attention to it.

Chocolate Protein

Third, persimmon and sweet potato
Persimmon is sweet and cold in nature. It contains protein, carbohydrates, fat, pectin, sweet tannin, vitamins, inorganic salts and other nutrients. If you eat these two kinds of foods separately, it is very beneficial to the body. However, if they are eaten at the same time, they will bring bad effect to human health. Because after you eat sweet potatoes, the human stomach will produce a lot of hydrochloric acid. At this moment, if you eat persimmons immediately, the persimmon will produce precipitation under the action of gastric acid. When the precipitations are combined together, they would form into insoluble lumps, which are not only difficult to be digested, but are also difficult to be discharged out of the body. As a result, people will easily suffer from stomach stone.

Fourth, milk and chocolate
Milk is rich in protein and calcium, while chocolate contains oxalic acid. If these two kinds of foods are eaten at the same time, the calcium contained in milk will combine with the oxalic acid in chocolate, and form into water-soluble calcium oxalate, which is not only difficult to be absorbed, but also will cause symptoms such as diarrhea, dry hair and may affect the growth and development of the body. As a result, it is not appropriate to eat chocolate and milk together.

In addition, some other foods, such as mutton and watermelon, banana and taro, preserved eggs and brown sugar, tofu and honey, cucumber and peanuts, persimmons and crabs, and so on, all should not be eaten at the same time.

Trader Joe's Organic Hemp Protein Powder

Having found out I was allergic to soy, I began my mission to search for a protein powder that had no soy. This was no easy deed, I looked through all of my containers of it, and there biggest day, was a listing of soy in the ingredient section for each one of them. I was pleasantly surprised one day while shopping at Trader Joe's to find a protein powder containing no soy called Trader Joe's Hemp Protein Powder. When I looked at the ingredient and nutrition label, this is what I found:

Chocolate Protein

• 130 calories per serving
• No saturated fat
• 9 grams of protein
• 500 mg of Omega 3
• 10 essential amino acids
• It is also gluten free!
• It is soy free!
• Low in sodium
• High in iron
• High in dietary fiber

Chocolate Protein

Any one who has suffered from food allergies knows it is no fun. I believe Trader Joe's Hemp's is great for those allergic to soy or gluten or for those who just want to see if it may make a difference in their life.

This powder's taste does take some getting use to. I do not know if it is the absence of the soy or the gluten, but it definitely has a much grittier texture than most powders I have used. I have tried the chocolate and the vanilla flavors, and the chocolate really does not taste like chocolate but it okay. I do like the fact, though; that it has a small list of ingredients in comparison to some others (that taste like candy).

I was also taken back a bit by the amount of protein per serving in the Trader Joe's Hemp Protein Powder in comparison to other protein powders. This one only offered 9 grams of protein per serving while many protein powders now offer 15-25 grams of fiber per serving. Because I like this product so much, I just mix it together with things like natural oatmeal or yogurt ( mixes well with creamier items) to make up for the protein it lacks.

If you are allergic to soy or just want a change from soy an interesting read is Soy: To Good To Be True-posted by Dr. Joseph Mercola

Protein Bar Manufacturing Trends

Because nutrition bars are convenient, portable, nutritious, and tasty, they make the perfect on-the-go snack for a significant number of health-conscious consumers who often find it challenging to incorporate well-balanced meals into their fast-paced lifestyles. According to the Nutrition Business Journal (Colorado), the value of the Sports Nutrition and Weight Loss (SNWL) market was up by nearly billion in 2010, showing a sales increase of 9 percent over the previous year. In the past 13 years, the SNWL market has seen a remarkable compound growth rate of 10.2 percent. With new delivery methods being developed, sales are showing signs of being re-energized.

Chocolate Protein

They were primarily marketed to serious athletes until 1990 when their improved taste combined with a robust health-and-fitness-message, gained wide appeal among mainstream consumers. Reporting sales of less than 0 million in 1997, the sports and energy bar market quickly climbed up to more than billion in 2003. Since then the market has rapidly grown.

Chocolate Protein

Types of Nutrition Bars

They can play different roles in maintaining healthy diets. For example, there are sports nutrition bars that serve as meal replacements or snacks. There are also for various health needs, such as multivitamin bars, diabetic-friendly bars, anti-aging bars, beauty bars, energy bars, low-carb, weight management bars, protein bars, etc. Before developing the formulation, supplement companies should identify their target consumer market and their desired nutritional needs.

Nutrition bars for serious trainers/professional athletes. In sports bars, pre-exercise bars will typically feature less protein and more carbohydrates and fiber. Recovery bars or post-exercise bars will offer more than 15 grams of protein and a moderate to high level of carbohydrates. 3 According to Mintel, a market research company based in Chicago, both soy and whey protein bars are more popular with younger consumers.

If you plan on creating them that meet the health needs of Baby Boomers or the elderly, consider adding anti-aging ingredients such as resveratrol and other wholesome nutrients that support healthy aging of bones, eyes and cognitive health.

Nutrition bars for children. With more parents favoring better-for-you snack options for their children, specially formulated for children have high market value. Formulations should be low in fat and sugar and should contain key ingredients such as whole grains, fiber, natural fruit extracts, calcium, Vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids and other specific nutrients for growing children. Claims such as "made with organic ingredients" or free from artificial ingredients are more attractive options for parents.

Nutrition bars for women including sub-categories such as teenage girls, pregnant women and menopausal women. Health-conscious women use nutrition bars either as meal replacements or as a snack. "Beauty bars" containing skin anti-aging ingredients such as antioxidants like green tea, B vitamins and other nutrients that enhance skin health are extremely popular. For women that are pregnant, nutrition bars that contain omega-3 fatty acids, folic acid and vitamin B12 are popular because these ingredients play an important role in the neurological and bone development of an infant.

Trends in Nutrition Bar Manufacturing

Trends in their manufacturing include formulations for a variety of consumer profiles offering a multiple range of tastes and textures. With so much variety in nutritive profiles across consumer segments, the challenge facing sports nutrition manufacturers today is establishing a point of differentiation between products.

A report released in February 2011 from Mintel observed the following trends in their manufacturing:
Granola bars were the most popular subcategory,
Young adults consume the most nutrition bars.
The desire to improve overall health and wellness is the key reason most people consume nutrition bars. Other market drivers include rising health consciousness, growing number of weight watchers (approximately 50 percent of the adult population) and high incidence of obesity is driving consumer demands for nutrition bars. More Americans are exercising and this could be another market driver for nutrition bars.
Reduced-fat and low-calorie nutrition bars generate the highest consumer interest.

According to a report from SPINS, a market research and information provider based in Schaumburg, IL, prebiotics, probiotics, EFAs (flax, hemp, pumpkin seed) and green foods are currently the most popular ingredients to use in nutrition bars. Well-accepted flavors include chocolate and peanut, either alone or in combination, as well as berries, nuts and seeds. SPINS observed consumer preference for the following nutrition bars categories:
High-fiber bars
Nutty bars
Raw food bars ("naked" bars where consumers can see the ingredients)
High in antioxidant value (superfruits)
Functional bars
High protein bars that include whole grains.
Weight control/management bars
Energy bars

Formulating a Nutrition Bar

Formulation of a nutrition bar involves the science of taste, balancing flavors and the adept use of functional ingredients that mask flavors. Ultimately, supplement companies need to focus on bars that will taste good, have appealing texture while offering a dense nutrient delivery devise to their target market. Problems usually arise when multiple nutrients such as protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, fiber are combined for increased fortification resulting in unpleasant flavor. This problem can be resolved with the use of masking agents, such as cocoa. Chocolate, a popular flavor appealing to all demographics, can effectively mask unpleasant flavors, but can also serve as a functional ingredient, offering antioxidant benefits. Natural sweeteners such as superfruit extracts not only add mouth-watering flavor and texture, but depending on the fruit extract used, can offer specific health benefits as well. Another key challenge for sports nutrition manufacturers is making certain that the nutrients specified on the label remain stable and bioactive even during storage.

Typical Ingredients in Nutrition Bars

Typical ingredients found in nutrition bars include proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, fruit extracts, nuts, fiber such as whole grains, along with other specialty ingredients.

Fiber is associated with a host of health benefits and is found in whole grains such as flax, wheat, oats, nuts, etc. A growing number of consumers are seeking out fiber in order to improve their digestive health and help with weight management and satiety. Fiber is also used to help regulate healthy cholesterol levels. Many consumers turn to nutrition bars to boost their fiber intake.

An optimal balance of both soluble and insoluble fiber achieves the desired texture, functional properties, flavor and performance.
Maltodextrin, polydextrose and various types of gums contain very few calories, if any, and may be used to enhance functional properties.
Quinoa naturally grows in the higher latitudes of the Andes in South American and although it is actually a seed it is known as a "supergrain" because of its popularity among food makers. It is gluten-free and adapts very well to a number of food applications.
Flax contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a plant-based omega-3 fatty acid known for an array of health benefits.

Protein is useful for building muscle, as an aid in weight management (promoting satiety) and for supporting healthy blood sugar levels. The need for more protein in the daily diet is being increasingly recognized by health-conscious consumers. Proteins such as whey, soy and rice are common components of nutrition bars. Each of these proteins has a different FDA-approved health claim. In the current economy, soy protein may prove to be an excellent alternative to dairy-based proteins, in terms of supply stability and price predictability.

Nuts contain oleic and palmitoleic acids which support healthy cholesterol levels. They are also a rich source of rich source of important omega-3 essential fatty acids such as alpha linolenic acid (ALA), a plant-based omega-3 fatty acid. Nuts also contain vitamins, minerals and other antioxidants.

There's a plethora of superfruit extracts that can be included in a nutrition bar adding flavor and antioxidant value. Many of them add condition-specific health value such as cranberry, known for its anti-bacterial properties particularly supporting female urinary health. Other popular flavors include Acai, apricots, blueberry, cherry, grape, pomegranate, strawberry, etc.

Specialty Ingredients in Nutrition Bars

One way to differentiate your nutrition bars is by adding specialty ingredients. These may address long term health trends such as cardiovascular health, digestive health, anti-aging, etc. Gender and age-specific formulations also hold opportunities for creating unique selling point advantages. Specialty ingredients may include:

Probiotics. The new microencapsulation techniques have opened up new possibilities for the application of probiotics in nutrition bar manufacturing. Consumers are now accepting the concept of friendly bacteria and are recognizing its potential to improve digestive health, prime the immune system and support a myriad of health concerns. According to Nutrition Business Journal, since 1998 probiotic supplement sales have multiplied four times totaling 5 million in 2008.

Omega-3 fatty acids are known for their wide range of health benefits, and thus may be targeted for all consumer demographics, A vegetarian source of DHA is found in canola and flaxseeds.

Fast-paced lifestyles are changing traditional eating patterns. With no time to consume "scheduled" meals which offer wholesome nutrition, nutrition experts promote smart snacking between meals. Nutrition bars are the perfect nutrient delivery devise for smart snacking helping consumers obtain their daily requirements of micro and macro nutrients such as protein and fiber. An innovative sports nutrition manufacturer can help you design smart nutrition bars for your target market in a GMP-certified facility. Customizable manufacturing solutions beginning from nutrition bar formulation to label design and packaging make manufacturing your nutrition bars an easy, efficient and quick process.

NutriBiotic Rice Protein Vegan, Chocolate 80% Protein Content Hypo-Allergenic GMO & Gluten Free NutriBiotic chocolate flavored Rice Protein is a great tasting vegetable protein made from non-genetically modified whole grain sprouted brown rice. Free of the common food allergens normally associated with soy, milk, egg, wheat, corn, and yeast. This highly soluble powdered formula mixes easily into water, juice, or meals for an extra protein boost. Chemical processing is avoided by using a purified water and natural enzyme procedure. Low Temperature Enzyme Process The whole brown rice is first ground into a fine flour. Pure filtered water is then added, forming a thick slurry (called liquefaction) Natural enzymes are added in at different stages to break down and separate the carbohydrate and fiber from the protein portion of the whole grain. All processing temperatures are kept below 90° F. The low temperature and chemical free processing prevents denaturing of the amino acids. The final stage involves filtering, drying and low temperature milling.

Help I Am Allergic To Chocolate

If you are allergic to chocolate then you suffer from Allergies Type 1, also called Contact Allergies. Scientists do not clearly understand why the immune system of people allergic to chocolate considers some food proteins as harmful by the body.

Chocolate Protein

The immune system can mount a variety of defenses mechanisms against proteins that is considers as harmful or foreign. Symptoms can be very mild to life-threatening depending on the severity of your chocolate allergies. They usually occur within a few minutes to a few hours after eating or inhaling chocolate.

Chocolate Protein

True allergies to chocolate or cocoa are very rare. Other ingredients, additives or chemicals found in processed chocolate such as nuts, milk, gluten from wheat, soybeans, corn, syrup, caffeine, Theo-bromine, and Phenyl-ethylamine, cause most allergic reactions to chocolate. The higher the quality of chocolate the lower the chances of other additives being found in chocolate.

Cocoa is made from the seeds of the cocoa tree that have been fermented, roasted and then ground up. The cocoa tree originated in Central America but is now grown in tropical climates around the world.

The proteins found in chocolate trigger the immune system to reaction. Antibodies and histamines are releases into the blood stream in an attempt to neutralize the chocolate protein. These chemicals trigger the allergic symptoms. In sever cases Epinephrine, also call Adrenaline, is administered to control the anaphylaxis reaction.

If you are unsure if you are allergic to chocolates then one of the tests you could be given is called Food Challenge Test. Avoid all chocolates for several weeks. The doctor will then give you pure chocolate without any of the other ingredients usually found in processed chocolate. This test needs to be given under close supervision by an allergist. If you are truly allergic to chocolate a violent reactions may occur and emergency medical attention may be needed. If symptoms appear within two hours after the taking the pill then you are allergic to it and will need to avoid it.

Avoidance can be very difficult because cocoa is often hidden in other foods. Read the labels of every food that you bring into your home. Because the manufacturing processes change continuously re-read the labels each time you purchase a product. On January 1, 2006 a new law was passed stating that all labels should be designed in such a way that a 7-year-old child could read and understand the ingredients.

Some of the health benefits of eating chocolate, in moderation of course, are reducing the risk of hart disease, increase longevity, increases libido and increased sexual fulfillment. Antioxidants are also found in chocolate and are believed to lower the amount of cholesterol in the blood stream. Just because it tastes good does not mean that it is bad for you so enjoy the occasional teat, you deserve it.

Protein Powder - What is Protein Powder?

A good protein powder is probably the best muscle-building tool you can buy. Protein powder is generally consumed immediately after exercising, or in place of a meal. It is commonly used by both men and women in search of a better physique. Using protein powder is one way to ensure an adequate intake of protein. I think protein powder is a very versatile component in your nutritional plan.

Chocolate Protein

Basicly taking protein powder is a way of making sure that your body has the raw materials need to make your muscles bigger and stronger. Pure protein powder is tasteless and some people argue it is tough just getting the stuff down. Plus, this virtually tasteless protein powder is scientifically formulated to be bland in flavor, so you won't even notice that it's there. The best way to use protein powder is to mix it with foods or liquids where you cannot notice them, such as hot cereals, casseroles or in sauces. Something that I've found works great for having your daily protein powder is adding it to yogurt. Blend well, until the protein powder is completely dissolved.

Chocolate Protein

Protein powder is the most basic and fundamental of all bodybuilding and fitness supplements. This high-quality protein is perfect for the diet low in protein, people dieting, and vegetarians. Protein powder is available in many forms, with the two most popular being whey or milk based protein and soy based protein. Protein powder is essential for building muscle and it's easy/convenient to carry around with you. The best time to utilize protein powder is right after a workout.

The most popular and highest quality protein powder is whey protein. Undenatured whey protein powder is an easily digestible source of protein derived from cow's milk that contains no carbohydrates or saturated fats. After filtering, purifying and removing the water from the whey, a high quality protein powder is produced, free of fat and lactose. Whey protein powder is an excellent protein for everybody. A pure whey protein powder is for post workout and protein powder blends are for all day or right before bedtime. Whey protein powder is suitable for putting into smoothies. I have to say that the best protein powder is not cheap, but whey protein is good.

The first thing you need to have in a protein powder is great taste. CytoSport Muscle Milk, Chocolate Milk, Shake rates 5 out of 5 stars for best tasting protein powder. CytoSport makes Muscle Milk in a large variety of flavors all extremely tasty so you can drink a different flavored shake for weeks!

Does Shakeology Taste Good?

You are probably wondering which flavor of Shakeology tastes better or if the product tastes good in general. Believe me, I know where you're coming from. I have tried several types of protein powders as well as liquid vitamins and vegetable liquid supplements. All of the ones I've tried have left bad aftertastes in my mouth as well as tasting somewhat awful in general. I often wondered if it must be really difficult to make these type of products taste good.

Chocolate Protein

If you're not aware, Shakeology comes in two flavors: chocolate and greenberry. The first time I ever tried the shake, I chose chocolate and was instantly hooked. Initially, I wanted to use the product as a meal replacement shake to help with weight loss. After awhile, I liked the flavor of the chocolate so much, I decided to use it daily as my multivitamin. Below are my comparisons of both flavors.

Chocolate Protein

Chocolate - There are a lot of powdered shakes out there that are chocolate flavor. If you have had any experience like me, then you know that just because something is labeled a certain flavor doesn't make it taste good. That isn't the case here. It is a rich chocolate taste that is equivalent to a delicious milkshake (especially when blended with milk: nonfat, almond, soy, etc.) This flavor is great for substituting for expensive and unhealthy fancy coffee drinks.

Greenberry - This one is actually kind of hard to describe. It doesn't taste bad but it closely reminds me of green tea ice cream. It isn't as sweet tasting as the other flavor so it makes a good option for people who are not huge chocolate fans. It is still a berry base flavor so it works well when blending with other fruit. Try frozen fruit rather than ice to add variety.

Both flavors are great for blending with other items such as frozen fruit, almond butter, peanut butter, and more. There is even a Greenberry cocktail recipe floating around. I've even seen pictures of Shakeology chocolate pie. It is amazing some of the recipes people have come up with! Overall, I'd suggest trying both at least once to see which one ends up being your favorite.

Muscle Enhancement - Low Carb Low Glycemic Whey Protein Supplement

Muscle enhancement is something favorite with many men. Most men crave for building up muscle mass and acquiring a well defined physique. Women too find this hunky, macho men attractive, for such an image symbolizes the strength and vigor usually associated with manhood. The muscle development program however should be carried out systematically, or else the increasing muscle mass would make you look flabby. Proper work-out sessions are important for getting explosive abs, packs, biceps and triceps. Work-outs usually include muscle building exercises like push ups, pull ups, bench pressing, arms curling etc.

Chocolate Protein

Proper diet is also needed to support strenuous exercises. Protein rich diet is especially important, for protein is the main constituent in building up muscle tissue. Thus to increase muscle mass, one is required to take more and more protein rich food items like eggs, chicken, lean meat, pulses and legumes. But proteins from food products cannot alone meet the total protein requirement of system builders and professional athletes. Therefore a protein supplement would well serve the purpose.

Chocolate Protein

Among the many supplements found in market, Muscle Advance perhaps is the best, for it is a complete product containing proteins, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Proteins build up and define the muscle mass and amino acid complexes and minerals bring about speedy muscle tissue repair after work-outs. Thus one is not required to invest separately on protein supplements and amino acid supplements. The product also contains 25% more protein in comparison to other products in market. Thus it is sufficient in satiating the total protein requirement of body builders and sports athlete.

Muscle Advance is a low carb low glycemic whey protein supplement. The low carb program maintains the nitrogen balance in body, thereby fostering healthy muscle development and the low glycemic index helps to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. The product comes in vanilla and chocolate essences and tastes really good. One may mix the powder in milk or water and take it after waking up or after work-outs. One may take 2-3 servings in a single day. The product can be taken both by males and females with no exception and produces no side-effects.

The ingredients of Muscle Advance are 130 calories per scoop, 1.5 grams of fat, 3 grams of carbs and 25 grams of protein. These ingredients not only enhance muscularity but also control body weight. The product is quite affordable and 100% safe.
